ULTRA STAINS

 

Chrysanthos Color Co. Ltd. Ultra Stains have been selected for being the best quality glaze stains available anywhere in the world. Sourced from a number of different manufacturers throughout China, we test each stain to ensure each batch received meets our quality standard. We also organise independent random EN71 Part III testing of stains to to ensure that heavy metal release levels are within what are considered to be safe limits.

 

All of the cadmium stains are of the zirconium encapsulated type. Ball milling of these stains should be avoided to prevent damage to the zirconium layer exposing the cadmium. Typically these stains only need a few minutes for full dispersion to be achieved.

 

These stains may be used in the manufacture of glazes and underglazes for use on various ceramic and clay bodies fired at temperatures between 1,000 and 1,300oC in most cases.
